STEM opportunities for business
We have a number of opportunities for employers to work with us, schools and young people on a series of STEM events and activities.
The aim of these events is to help young people raise their awareness of the variety of careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths industries.
We are actively recruiting employers to deliver short activities to small groups of students aged 15+ to help them understand more about the career options and opportunities that could be available to them in the future.
Young people can only aspire to what they know exists!
A full list of volunteering opportunities can be found on our volunteering page.
We are also able to provide you with two additional opportunities that could help your own personal development.
Work experience and work shadowing
It doesn't matter how old you are or whether you are still studying, already at work or seeking a job change or just curious, we are able to provide you with the chance to complete a work experience placement with a local employer in an industry you want to learn more about.
As long as you have a minimum Level 3 qualification (equivalent to A-Levels) in science, technology, engineering or maths, we can match you with a local employer - Work experience flyer
If you would like to apply for a placement please download the application form and return to firstname.lastname@example.org who will be in touch to discuss your requirements.
Become a STEM Champion
We are recruiting ambassadors to join our network, take part in WOOP events, offer work placements and inspire and educate people of all ages about the opportunities that exist across Berkshire.
Being a STEM Ambassador will involve you talking about your career, your route into your current employment, share insights to your industry, engage with schools and support hands-on STEM workshops - STEM champion
For more information about either of these opportunities please contact the office on 0118 359 3131 or email Kelly.email@example.com
WOOP is funded by the European Social Fund and the Education & Skills Funding Agency to help Berkshire employers recruit and train talented individuals that will bring their businesses into the future.
